Indo Futurism

Jambudweepa, Al-Hind, Hindustan, Tenjiku, Aryavarta, Bharat, Sone Ki Chirya are some well-known names India was known in the past and still refer to by some of these names in text, speeches, poem, etc. These names originated from non-Indian dynasties and rulers since 1200, including the colonial period until liberation in 1947. Such a mix of culture gave India several different flavors of culture that has, directly and indirectly, impacted everything India offers today. However, what would happen if several of these cultures were never mixed with the Indus valley civilization. What would India look like if left alone to grow with the fact that it is one of few sub-continents in the world with lots of natural resources and known as utopian land or also known as “Golden Bird ”.  A utopian land with ancient stories talking about longevity, flying planes, head transplant (Ganesh: elephant to human), human body modification and enhancement, etc. What if such beliefs and stories turn into reality or continue growing in the futuristics idea for Indians? Suppose we imagine such a future, where transhumanist ideas do not differ and seem alien from a cultural perspective. Such futurism on Indus civilization or India can be called Indo-Futurism.
