Dr. Avinash K Singh, Ph.D. (Founder and Core member) Avinash is a researcher at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute and working toward various topics in Cybernetics such as Brain-Computer Interface, Cognitive Neuroscience, Machine Learning. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney in 2019 and M.S. in 2013 from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Rajasthan, India.

He has been active in advocating and promoting future technologies like Neuroadaptive technologies to augment and enhance humans since 2013. As a result, he has founded this non-profit organization called India Future Society, co-organizing Transhuman Sydney meetup (900+ members), speaker at Transhumanist Australia, board member of a Think-tank in France, and advisor for two companies in Australia. Besides, he is also serving on two IEEE Standard committees for better and safe Neurotechnologies of the future.

The current interests of his research are to integrate the artificial intelligence (Al) technologies with cognitive neuroscience knowledge for exploring the cognitive functions, discovering the relationships between brain dynamics, evaluated everyday interaction, decision making, developing a robust brain-computer interface, and more importantly, getting closer to achieve mind uploading.

Sarah Ahamed (Core member) is an M.Phil. Research Scholar at the School of Cognitive Science, Jadavpur University, India. She finished her Masters in Neuroscience from University of Calcutta, India. She advocate and contributes regularly on topics such as transhumanism, techno-philosophy, Cognitive Neuroscience, Longevity Research etc.

Palak Madan (Core member) is an Independent researcher, futurist focusing on the big picture questions facing humanity. Her current research involves some of the most important issues like Future of Machine Intelligence, long-term ethical problems of robust and beneficial Artificial Intelligence. She has also participated in diverse challenges and collaborative projects with tech-startups in India and Europe, ranging from VR research involving empathy study, writing essays and articles for various blogs, as well as creating videos to share digital content about future technologies, post-human concerns and thus using technology as a medium of virtual storytelling.

She is also passionately involved with Effective Altruism Community – known for encouraging thousands of people to use reason and evidence to help others as much as possible.
She has many interests including AI forecasting, simulation theory, ethical reasoning and design thinking. Her future goal is to create a video sharing platform where people can share their most subjective experiences with anyone around the globe – thereby wishes to unite everyone and celebrate oneness on a global level.

Dr. De Grey (PhD) is the biomedical gerontologist who researched the idea for and founded SENS Research Foundation. He received his BA in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Cambridge in 1985 and 2000, respectively. Dr. de Grey is Editor-in-Chief of Rejuvenation Research, is a Fellow of both the Gerontological Society of America and the American Aging Association, and sits on the editorial and scientific advisory boards of numerous journals and organizations.

Elena Milova is Project Coordinator in Russian Transhumanist Movement , a non-profit civil organization, which supports promising trends in science, technology and medicine, attracts attention of government and society to the benefits of transhuman world view and concerns of humans’ future evolution.
Elena is developing RTM intelligence training center “Way of Upgrade”, is coaching RTM activists to speed up their mental progress. She received her diploma of psychologist in 2011 in Russian New University (ROSNOU), and before that she has completed her study of psychodrama and business trainings in Saint-Petersbourg State University.
Fields of personal interest – scientific methods of fast personal changes, social engineering, colonization of Mars.

Ilia Stambler

Dr. Ilia Stambler is a researcher at the Department of Science, Technology and Society of Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He worked as a scientific writer at the Biophysical Schottenstein Center for the Research and Technology of the Cellome, Bar-Ilan University. He studied biomedical engineering in Moscow Polytechnical Institute, biology at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and has an MA in English literature from Bar-Ilan University. Ilia received his PhD degree at the Department of Science, Technology and Society, at Bar-Ilan University. His thesis subject, and his main interest, is the History of Life-extensionism in the 20th Century.

He is a longevity activist and coordinator at the International Longevity Alliance

Dr. James Hughes (Ph.D.), the Executive Director of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, is a bioethicist and sociologist at Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut where he teaches health policy and serves as Director of Institutional Research and Planning. He holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of Chicago, where he also taught bioethics at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Dr. Hughes is author of Citizen Cyborg: Why Democratic Societies Must Respond to the Redesigned Human of the Future , and is working on a second book tentatively titled Cyborg Buddha. Since 1999 he has produced a syndicated weekly radio program, Changesurfer Radio.

He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of Humanity+, the Neuroethics Society, the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities and the Working Group on Ethics and Technology at Yale University.

Dr. Hughes speaks on medical ethics, health care policy and future studies worldwide.

Dr. Kim Solez

Dr. Kim Solez, MD is Professor of Pathology at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton Canada. He created the Banff Classification, the worldwide standard for interpretation of solid organ transplant biopsies and directs the meetings every two years that update and refine that classification. He directs the UofA’s global health program in Nepal. For over 22 years he has been using new technologies to create consensus in medicine, and since 2011 has been teaching a unique multidisciplinary course on “Technology and the Future of Medicine” LABMP 590.

Dr. Natasha Vita-More (PhD), is a frequent guest speaker on topics concerning the future and technology. She is founder of esDESIGN and best known for creating the first future human prototype “Primo Posthuman”. Her writings have been published in numerous books, she has appeared in more than twenty-four televised documentaries, and featured in magazines including The New York Times, Wired, Village Voice, Flaunt, Harper’s Bazaar, U.S. News & World Report, Net Business, and Teleopolis. Natasha is a Fellow at Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, Fellow at Hybrid Reality Institute, Track Advisor to the Singularity University, and on the Scientific Board of Lifeboat Foundation. She was formerly president of Extropy Institute from 2002-2005. As a bit of history, Natasha authored the “Transhuman Manifesto” (1983), Create/Recreate: the 3rd Millennial Culture (cybernetic culture and the future of humanism and the arts and sciences). In the early 1990s, she produced and hosted the transhumanist TV show “Transcentury UPdate” and she is the host and producer of H+TV.

Dr. Raghuraj Singh (PhD) is a Professor in CSE Department, HBTI, Kanpur. He completed his B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur in 1990 and MS in Software Systems from BITS Pilani in 1997. He received his Ph. D. from GBTU Lucknow in 2006. He has teaching and administrative experience of approx. 23 years. He has published more than 50 research papers in International and national journals of repute. He has undertaken several Govt. Projects. His interest areas include Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Project Management etc.

Mr. Vivek Gupta is a Technical Director in National Informatics Centre, New Delhi. He received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Technology from HBTI, Kanpur in 1990 and MBA in Finance & Marketing from Institute of Business Management, Kanpur in 2002 (Gold Medallist).

He has managed several Indian Government project of national importance i.e. National Consumer Call Preference Registry (NCCPR) erstwhile known as National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC), Commercial Tax Automation, Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax automation.

He is a Visiting Faculty of Several Management and Engineering Institutes in India.

Siddartha Verma (Co-Founder) is a MS student at School of Physics, The University of Western Australia (2011-2013) and has completed his Bachelors in Technology degree in Instrumentation from CUSAT, India (2006-2010). He has been a Visiting Researcher at Stanford in Gravity Probe-B experiment for three months in 2010.

Apart from that, he has summer project experience from places like Indian Institute of Astrophysics (2008), UWA (2010) and has also been a Winter School Student for an Astroparticle course conducted by TIFR and Bose Institute (2010). In summer 2009 he was selected as a Vacation Student’s Programme student in IUCAA, Pune.

Thomas Damberger, Ph.D., is postdoctoral research associate at the Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany). He studied pedagogy and philosophy and completed his doctorate with a critical work about pedagogical and technological improvement of humans. His main fields of research are the philosophy (and theory) of education, human enhancement, emerging technologies, transhumanism and digital media.

Vivek Anand is a serial entrepreneur and guest speaker from Hyderabad, India. He is co-founder of the Hyderabad Entrepreneurs Society (HES) which works as platform for entrepreneurship and enterprise development in India. He is currently serving as CEO at Arike Electric.
He has worn many hats in his short career – researcher, entrepreneur, business strategist, clean-tech evangelist, anti-corruption activist, motivational speaker. He is an alumni of the National Institute of Technology (Calicut) and was a research associate at XLRI where he worked on the SSA project of the Govt. of India.

Vivek has previously done research in BCI (Brain Computer Interface), video retargeting, wireless sensor networks, rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology. He is also an Intel Research Scholar.
